I enjoy being alone as it gives me the time to reflect on what has happened in the past few days and also gives me the mood to think of certain things that I need to reflect in my daily life.
There are many moments that I spend alone doing something I enjoy but there are 2 major things that I do at least thrice a week. The first thing is cycling. Ever since I was little I have been fascinated by bicycles and I get really exhilarated when I see cool looking bicycles. I first cycled when I was in kindergarten and I know more about bicycles as I got older.
The reason I enjoy cycling as it feels really good when the wind blows hard in my face when the weather is windy. I also love the feeling of adrenaline pulsing through my veins when I accelerate. I still remember I was so elated when I got my favourite BMX bicycle from my father. It is now 1 of my most prized possessions.
The other thing that I enjoy doing alone is reading manga which is a Japanese version of a comic book. The manga usually comes with a book jacket and its pages are in black and white. The more popular mangas get translated in English editions so you don't have to learn Japanese to read manga.
The reason I got interested in manga was because I didn't like books that was filled to the brim with boring words. That just turns me off so I found manga which is the complete opposite. The graphics are great and the plots are well thought of that a series of a particular manga could have more than a thousand chapters. Of course the thousands of chapter are not crammed into a single book. They are split into volumes and are arranged in the ascending sequence of numbers.
These two activities really helps me to relieve stress and I usual send my leisure time doing this. They also give me joy and a few laughs sometimes. I hope everyone has a particular activity that they enjoy and everyone is different so don't force yourself to do stuff that your friend does during your leisure time.
That's all so for now, Bye!

Something unusual that happened that day
Last Sunday was an aberrant day for me. One of my best friend, Asraff, had invited me to go to a gym at our neighbourhood community centre. Since I have never been to a gym before and it sounded like fun, I reluctantly agreed on one condition that we should get another guy to follow us. Someone who is on the wrong side of the weighing scale and could use a little exercise... Asraff immediately called Haziq and we agreed to meet at Asraff's house at 2pm
On that day, at around 1pm, Haziq and I agreed go to Asraff's house together since we live next to each other's block. As usual, I had to wait at his void deck because he is the one who is usual late. While I was waiting impatiently, a cute brown kitten approached me. It must have been only a few months old because it was quite tiny. Since I love cats, I didn't want to scare it away so I just stood and tried not to make any sudden movements. The kitten kept on getting closer and closer till....
IT BIT ME WITH IT'S RAZOR SHARP TEETH!!!
No, just kidding. It didn't bite, instead it walked around my legs and licked my toes. Aw, that's so cute I thought. Suddenly, Haziq appeared. We chatted and I immediately forgot about the kitten. We continued walking and chatting about what we're gonna do at the gym. All this while, the poor kitten was tailing us. At a traffic light, Haziq realized the kitten looking with its small beady eyes at us intently.
He immediately told me about the kitten. I recognized the kitten from Haziq's void deck and caught on that it must have been following us. Wouldn't it be funny if it followed us all the way to the gym? But it was a slim chance because we would be taking a bus. When we finally meet up with Asraff, Haziq enthusiastically told him about the kitten. Asraff brushed him off and said he was childish for getting excited because of a kitten.
Haziq held his head in embarrassment. But the kitten was still there with us. As the three of us walked to the community centre, we lost sight of the kitten halfway and never saw it again. But sometimes, when I pass by Haziq's void deck, I hope to meet that kitten again and maybe get the chance play with it.

A special moment you enjoyed with your family
On Sunday, 24th of January, my father planned for us to visit our grandparents from my mother's side. Sadly, my father's parents are both deceased. I woke up surprisingly early at around 10am. Every Saturday I had Scouts, I had always woken up at 12pm on Sundays since last year. I did what I would normally do on weekend mornings and that is to watch cartoons. After watching television for about 1 hour, I went to brush my teeth and have a shower.
I was feeling rejuvenated after that icy cold shower I had but now, my stomach was grumbling. I went into the kitchen to see what could satisfy my tummy. Of course, the refrigerator and cupboards were bare... I had to make do with plain bread and butter that smelt funny and a glass of chocolate milk.
After a 'sumptuous' breakfast, I resumed watching television. Suddenly, my sisters sat beside me looking all nice and pretty. I had to drag myself into my room to pick out my cloths and ironing them. In approximately 10 minutes, we were in the car driving to Bedok.
When we reached our destination, the void deck had a peculiar pungent smell that is too horrific to be explained any further. When I entered my grandparents' house, I greeted my grandmother who was elated to see us. My grandfather was elated too but he was occupied with his mee rebus.
Then the routine starts with my mother chatting merrily with my grandmother and auntie about my baby sister. Then my father would watch television while lying on couch and my other sibling with nothing to do keeps bugging me to lend my PSP to them. This would go on until my grandmother decided it was time to prepare the most sumptuous food that you can't get anywhere else.
My stomach was already growling inside the car so waiting for the food was just pure torture. But somehow I endured it and the reward was great. My grandmother whipped up chilli prawns, fried vegetables and her signature dish, Chicken Soup! I was the first one to chow down on the heavenly food that my grandmother prepared even though she was having headache, backache, leg cramps, etc.
It was an enjoyable meal, a special moment that we all share. I really hope that everyone would treasure every single dining moment or family gatherings with their family members.

A problem you encountered and how you solved or managed
Homework is quite a hassle for me. I think its unnecessary as it just wastes time spent at home. I thought school was the only place where you do all your learning so why drag it till home? It just seems stupid and troublesome for me. But I think the problem is that I do homework at the last minute.
It has become a habit since Primary three and i think it was because of my friends. In those days, we usually go to each others house to play games of just slack around. Back then, we were dismissed quite early compared to now in Secondary school. Thus, having nothing to do we had fun with friends and homework were at the back of our minds. Now, in secondary school, if you don't do your homework when it is given its going to pile up and your weekends will be wasted on finishing your homework before its due.
In Primary school this was not such a big problem because there weren't much project assignments or revision exercises. But in Secondary school, you'll be confuse with all the different subject projects and your groups unless its individual. After a year in Victoria School, i can now manage homework better but I'm still trying to break the habit of last minute work.
One of my past experiences is to never do a mathematics homework after nine because would probably be multi-tasking homework and watching cartoons. So, all my maths working would've been smeared with careless mistakes. I would advice my readers to do their homework immediately when you go home and finish bathing and eating.
Lastly, don't ever do your homework in the living room because someone would probably switched on the television. You would feel bored halfway through your work and be distracted.
Overall, I still think homework should have never been made as work should be done in school!

Something That Took Place In School
It was the first few weeks of the brand new year of 2010! And, of course, school life... But, something unfortunate happened to my classmate, Ven, during this first few weeks. It was quite unexpected and sudden but accidents are like that.
Mundane school life was as usual, having lessons in the morning and homework being given by teachers. The school bell rang signalling the end of a period and the beginning of recess. Those who wanted to play soccer quickly changed into their P.E. attire and dashed off to the field. While others went to the field, others walked to the school canteen to eat.
While eating my food, my friends were chatting and suggested to go watch our classmates play soccer after finishing our food. I agreed and walked to the field but prefects were always at the every exit of the canteen to make sure students don't smuggle food into the classrooms.
Upon reaching the field, my classmates were gathered to a goalpost. We immediately ran to them to see what the commotion was about. Laying on the artificial grass was Ven, who was in obvious pain. Big drops of tears emerged from Ven's eyes and beads of sweat formed on his forehead.
Our class monitor, Firdaus, helped Ven up and around three of us brought him to the sick bay. When news got out that Ven's finger was broken, everyone was shocked that it was that serious. Its was probably due to the save Ven made that lead to his broken finger. In the end, Ven got a week of MC.
It was a tiring day in school and this incident will be forever etched in my mind. I hope that Ven will be able to recover soon so that he can use his finger again.
To my blog readers, please be careful and do not do something that can endanger yourself. That's all so for now, Bye!

NeW BLoG :)
Hi, and welcome to my blog=). Since this is my first, I going to share how great the first scout meeting of the year was. It started off with my friend and I being late but nobody cared because they were already preparing to raise the flag. So, with lightning fast reflexes we placed our bags and gathered around the flagpole.
After that it was Physical Training, with all the seniors being sadists, enough said... And of course, we had an amazing foot drill. Through means of physical "torture", we were instilled with loads of discipline. We learnt the true meaning of reward after a long toll, which could be likened to the flogging of animals to move faster and giving it a sip of water to go on.
In the suffering heat, we were also made to do push ups over and over again. In total we did at least two hundred and fifty push ups! But it was all worth it. We faced humiliation without hesitation as we knew it was our fault. We are very grateful for pointing out our faults, after all, we need to be ready to lead the new sec ones.
The only good part of the day was when the scout meeting was over and my friends suggested we go eat at MacDonald's. We chatted and relaxed after an entire morning full of discipline. The food was satisfying and my belly was bloated when we finally got out.
Overall, at least I exercised and not waste my entire Saturday morning watching cartoons. When I got home, my legs and arms were aching so much I spent the afternoon snoozing.
That's all for now of my life. See ya...
